Scorpions - Tokyo Tapes (Live) (50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) - Digipak 2 CD
In 2015, the Scorpions celebrated their 50th anniversary. On the occasion of the band's birthday, they have therefore come up with something very special for their fans: the "50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition". In this edition, the Scorpions are re-releasing a series of different studio and live albums. For this, the band has also pulled numerous previously unreleased tracks, including rare live recordings, alternative versions of their songs and rough mixes from their archives.
Thus, "Taken By Force", the band's fifth studio album, was also completely remastered for the birthday edition. in 1977 the original album had been released in Europe. It is the last album that the Scorpions had recorded with their lead guitarist at the time, Uli Jon Roth, who had a special influence on the band's style. A total of eight tracks were on the original record, the remastered version contains an additional six tracks, including never released demo recordings and the track "Blue Dream (Unfinished Instrumental)", which also never appeared.
"Taken By Force" is available as a CD and as a set consisting of LP and CD. In addition to the recordings, there is a comprehensive booklet with rare photos, images of single covers and tour posters. Also included: new liner notes by former Metal Hammer editor-in-chief Edgar Klüsener.
